The purpose of this residence was to do research into making music theater, in this specific case around percussion, in interaction with the public and the natural environment. Stan and Mervyn prepared the outline of their concept in the run-up to Oerol under the guidance of Peter Zegveld and further explored their concept on the spot, inspired by the environment. Mervyn turned out to be a true performer. In every performance he took the audience on a journey through the nature reserve and guided them in a joint percussion ritual.

As a result of this we were able to work with the materials for the composition of the ritual and stay and rehearse on the island for the five days preceding the performances.
